About PathoVision
We’re building fast, trustworthy diagnostic support so no patient loses health because of delays or inaccessibility.
Our Story
PathoVision was born from a personal experience. Years ago, our founder’s grandfather lost much of his eyesight due to a late-detected infection. What could have been prevented became a lifelong struggle — and a wake-up call. We saw firsthand how delays in diagnosis can change a person’s future. That moment sparked our mission: to make timely, accurate diagnosis available to everyone, everywhere.
Our Mission
We believe no one should lose their health — or their sight — because of slow or inaccessible medical care. PathoVision uses artificial intelligence and advanced medical imaging to transform the way diagnoses are made. What once took days can now be done in seconds, giving doctors the insights they need to act faster and patients the answers they deserve.
Our Approach
- Cutting-edge AI: We leverage state-of-the-art deep learning models to detect diseases earlier and with greater precision.
- Accessibility first: Our tools are designed for use in both major hospitals and community clinics, ensuring quality care is not limited by geography or resources.
- Collaboration: We partner with healthcare providers, researchers, and innovators to bring life-saving diagnostic support where it’s needed most.
Who We Are
We are a team of students, engineers, and researchers passionate about reimagining healthcare. With backgrounds in medicine, data science, and design, we combine rigorous research with human-centered innovation.
Our Vision
A world where every patient — regardless of location or income — can access fast, reliable, and affordable diagnostic care.
Our Founder
PathoVision was founded by Vicente Gallardo, a Chilean student currently pursuing a degree in Ingeniería en Inteligencia Artificial y Ciencia de Datos (IDM) at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
Vicente’s journey began with a deeply personal story: his grandfather lost vision in one eye, and much of the other, due to a preventable infection that went undiagnosed until it was too late. Witnessing the life-changing impact of delayed medical care became the driving force behind PathoVision.
With a strong foundation in mathematics, artificial intelligence, and data science — and a deep interest in philosophy and critical inquiry — Vicente set out to bridge the gap between technology and healthcare. His vision is clear: to empower doctors and hospitals with tools that deliver faster, more accurate diagnoses, ensuring that no patient is left waiting when time matters most.
For Vicente, PathoVision is not just a project — it is a personal mission to prevent others from experiencing the avoidable losses his own family endured.
